An onsen area facing Katsuura Bay in the southeast of the Kii Peninsula. You can easily enjoy the hot springs at places such as the day-use onsen of Hotel Urashima, famous for its large cave baths, and the free foot bath in front of the station. It is also a base for Kumano sights such as Nachi Falls and Kumano Nachi Taisha.

At Hotel Urashima's day-use onsen, you can use the hotel's hot springs, including the large cave bath Bokido. There are also free foot baths, such as Takinoyu in front of Kii-Katsuura Station and Uminoyu overlooking the bay, handy while waiting for a train.
