For Naha city, the Yui Rail (monorail) is convenient, directly connected via the passage on the 2nd floor. ✈ OKA →Kokusai-dori (Kenchomae Station)To Kokusai-dori, the Yui Rail reaches Kenchomae Station in about 13 minutes with no transfers. With lots of luggage or a larger group, a taxi is also convenient.

✈ OKA →Shuri Castle (Shuri Station)To Shuri Castle, the Yui Rail takes about 27 minutes to Shuri Station. Shuri Station is the starting point on the east side of Shurijo Castle Park.

✈ OKA →Tomari Port (Tomarin, island ferries)Tomari Port, where boats depart for the Kerama Islands and elsewhere, is a convenient 10–15 minutes away by taxi. With light luggage, you can also walk from Miebashi Station on the Yui Rail.

When you arrive

  • ✓The arrivals lobby is on the 1st floor for both domestic and international flights
  • ✓For the Yui Rail, take the 2nd-floor connecting passage to Naha Airport Station
  • ✓The 1st-floor bus stops were reorganized on January 9, 2026. Stops 1–6 are assigned by route (Airport Limousine Bus and Yanbaru Express at Stop 1, Highway Buses 111 and 117 at Stop 2, Route 120 and the Chatan direct TK05 at Stop 5, etc.)
  • ✓The taxi stand is divided into short-distance (Naha, Urasoe, Ginowan, southern area) and long-distance (central and northern areas) sections
  • ✓Buy Airport Limousine Bus tickets at the Airport Limousine Bus information desk on the 1st floor of the domestic area or at the Visitor Service Center on the 1st floor of the international area
  • ✓Okinawa Tourist Information Centers are on the 1st floor of the domestic area (9:00–21:00) and the 1st floor of the international area (9:00–19:00)

Passenger Terminal Building (Domestic Area)

The arrivals lobby is on the 1st floor. Bus stops, the taxi stand and rental car shuttle pickup are at the exits of the 1st-floor arrivals lobby; reach Yui Rail Naha Airport Station via the connecting passage on the 2nd floor

Passenger Terminal Building (International Area)

In the same building, connected to the domestic area. The arrivals lobby is on the 1st floor, and Travelex (currency exchange) is in front of the 2nd-floor security checkpoint

🎫 Yui Rail 1-Day / 2-Day Pass

Unlimited Yui Rail rides for 24 hours from purchase (¥1,000 for adults / ¥500 for children) or 48 hours (¥1,800 for adults / ¥900 for children) (as of October 2026). Buy at any Yui Rail station

🎫 Bus-Mono Pass

Unlimited rides on Naha Bus within Naha City and the Yui Rail for the day of use. ¥1,500 for adults / ¥750 for elementary school children (as of October 2026)

IC Card

IC transit cards

On the Yui Rail you can use OKICA, Okinawa's IC card, as well as nationwide transportation IC cards such as Suica, PASMO and ICOCA (no auto-charge; Suica is not sold, but can be topped up at ticket machines and counters). Contactless payment such as credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, etc.) also works at the ticket gates of all 19 stations (no child fares). OKICA can also be used on route buses on Okinawa Main Island; ¥500 deposit

Coin lockers on the 1st–3rd floors of both the domestic and international areas (base prices revised January 24, 2026). Yui Rail Naha Airport Station also has large lockers (¥600, until the last train of the day, 4 units)

Baggage storage: Okinawa Yamato Transport (1st-floor arrivals lobby 7:30–20:00 / near Security Checkpoint C on the 2nd floor 9:00–19:00; per item per day, S ¥600 to L ¥1,000), Sagawa Express (1st floor, domestic area, 9:00–18:00) and Before U Go (2nd-floor departures lobby 9:00–20:00, with same-day airport ⇔ hotel delivery). Taxis
The taxi stand is at the 1st-floor arrivals lobby exit, divided into short-distance (Naha, Urasoe, Ginowan, southern area) and long-distance (central and northern areas) stands. Naha Airport publishes an official fare estimate table (e.g. Kokusai-dori approx. ¥1,700, American Village approx. ¥5,600, as of July 1, 2025)
Tips

Tips for travelers

  • ✓The Yui Rail is the only railway. Use the Yui Rail within Naha; for resorts in central and northern Okinawa, the basic choices are the Airport Limousine Bus, highway buses or a rental car
  • ✓Cash cannot be paid on board the Airport Limousine Bus. Buy a ticket at the 1st-floor information desk after arrival, or reserve online in advance
  • ✓Bus travel times vary with road conditions. Naha is congested in the morning and evening, so allow extra time
  • ✓Bus stop numbers changed in January 2026, so beware of stop numbers in outdated guides
