A university student who dreams of becoming a manga artist hits a creative wall and sets off on easygoing trips around Japan, choosing each destination by social media poll. Directed by Mamoru Hosoda, this film follows a woman who falls in love with a wolf man and raises their two "wolf children" in the countryside over 13 years. Kamiichi in Toyama, the director's hometown and the setting of the film, is selected for the 88 Anime Spots.

Kurobe Gorge Railway (Torokko Train)

Chubu & Hokuriku ・ Toyama / Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route

A torokko (open-air) train running from Unazuki Onsen deep into the Kurobe Gorge. Full-line service between Unazuki and Keyakidaira resumed on October 1, 2026, and you can ride all the way to the Keyakidaira terminus during the operating season until November 30. From the windowless open cars, you can enjoy the beauty of the gorge and the views from the railway bridges.
