Tips

Tips

  • •Keeping your accommodation around Sapporo Station to Odori and Susukino makes both the day trip to Otaru and airport access easy.
  • •JR runs directly from Sapporo Station to Otaru. It is easy to plan your return to coincide with dinner in Sapporo.
  • •Maruyama Zoo is closed mainly on Wednesdays, so if day 3 falls on a Wednesday, swap the order around.
  • •Sidewalks freeze in winter, so shoes with anti-slip soles are a good idea.
