Tips

Tips

  • •Sapporo hotels fill up quickly during the Snow Festival. Book your Asahikawa accommodation early as well.
  • •You can do this route by JR and local buses. Since you will use JR Hokkaido many times, checking the transport pass guides makes planning easier.
  • •You will spend a lot of time outdoors, so a hat, gloves and insulated winter boots are essential. Disposable hand warmers are also handy.
  • •Heavy snow or blizzards can stop trains, so leave plenty of time to get to the airport on the last day.
