Tips

Tips for travelers

  • ✓The lawn area around the performance field is free. Reserved grandstand seats (SS/S/A) are best bought in advance
  • ✓There is no free public parking at the venue, so use the temporary parking lots plus the free shuttle bus (Day 2 and final day)
  • ✓The weeks after the lunar Obon are typhoon season. Whether the festival goes ahead is announced on the official website around the day before, so be sure to check
  • ✓It stays hot and humid into the night, so bring a hat, towel, and drinks to prevent heatstroke
