Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival
Overview
One of Osaka's signature fireworks festivals, held on the riverbed of the Yodo River just north of Umeda. It began in 1989 as a homemade festival planned and run by local volunteers and supported by community donations. In recent years it has been held in mid-October in autumn, with viewing centered on the right bank on the Juso and Tsukamoto side.
Fireworks are launched from around the area between Juso Bridge and the JR Kobe Line railway bridge. Sponsor viewing seats come in many types, including Panorama Seats, Stage Seats, Premier Seats and cruise boats moored at the riverbank.
