How to choose

Okinawa's main island stretches long and narrow from Naha in the south to the Motobu Peninsula in the north, so where you stay shapes how you spend your trip. Naha, served by the Yui Rail monorail, is good for walking around town and eating out; Chatan for seaside evenings; and Onna and Motobu for beach resorts and the Churaumi Aquarium. Splitting your stay between Naha and a northern resort is a popular approach.
