Tips

Tips

  • •This route uses JR a lot, so it is worth comparing transport passes such as the Kansai Area Pass in the guides.
  • •Staying one night in Osaka, one in Arima and two in Kyoto means you only travel with your luggage on days 2, 3 and 5.
  • •Both Himeji Castle and Shoshazan Engyoji involve a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes on day 2.
