Tips

Tips

  • •If you plan to use Hakone's various transport together, check the guide to the Hakone Freepass; if you are going on to the Fuji Five Lakes, check the guide to the Fuji Hakone Pass.
  • •Mt. Fuji is often hidden by clouds, so checking the forecast and scheduling day 2 for a day when it is likely to be visible makes the trip more rewarding.
  • •If you have a lot of luggage, staying on the Sengokuhara or Togendai side of Hakone makes the next day's travel easier.
