Overview

A fireworks festival launched over the sea at the hot spring town of Atami, held since 1952. It is held not only in summer but also in spring, autumn and winter, so you can see it all year round. In Atami Bay, surrounded by mountains on three sides, the sound of the fireworks echoes loudly.

In bowl-shaped Atami Bay, the fireworks echo as if in a stadium. About 5,000 shells in summer and about 3,000 in spring, autumn and winter are launched in about 20–25 minutes. In 2026 it is scheduled for October 12 and 25 and November 8 and 23 in autumn, and December 6 and 25 in winter.
