Overview
An affordable pass for international visitors offering 3 days of unlimited rides on JR West local trains (including Special Rapid and Rapid) around Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe. There is a WEST QR version used on your smartphone and a paper version exchanged for a ticket at the station, and both are bought from overseas travel agencies. The Limited Express HARUKA is not covered, so take the Kansai Airport Rapid Service from Kansai Airport.
- Who can buy
- Holders of a passport issued by a government other than Japan who entered with Temporary Visitor status. Japanese nationals cannot use it. Adults are 12 and over, children 6–11
- Coverage
- Non-reserved seats in Ordinary Cars on local trains (including Special Rapid and Rapid) within the unlimited travel zone of JR West's Kansai area

- 1WEST QR version: register on the WEST QR user site, start using it from 4:00 on the day of use, and hold the QR code over the ticket gate
- 2Paper version: exchange the E-MCO for a ticket at a designated location by showing your passport (within 3 months of the issue date)
- 3Carry your passport and show it when asked
