Overview

A pass sold by JR West for international visitors that offers 5 consecutive days of unlimited rides on JR lines from Kansai to Hiroshima. It covers reserved seats on the Sanyo Shinkansen between Shin-Osaka and Hiroshima (including Nozomi and Mizuho) and the Miyajima ferry. It suits travelers visiting Osaka and Kyoto as well as Hiroshima and Miyajima on one trip.

Who can buy
International visitors holding a passport issued by a government other than Japan and entering with Temporary Visitor status. Adults are 12 and over, children 6–11

How to Use

How to use

  1. 1After arriving in Japan, pick up the pass using your passport at green ticket machines and similar points at major stations in the area (also possible at JR Shikoku's Takamatsu Station from April 2026)
  2. 2For online bookings, you need your booking number, 4-digit PIN, the credit card used for the purchase and your passport
  3. 3Reserve seats before boarding at ticket machines or a ticket office (Midori-no-madoguchi) (from the 7th reservation onward, at the ticket office)
  4. 4Carry your passport while using the pass and show it to staff when asked
Tips

Good to know

  • !If you ride the Sanyo Shinkansen with oversized luggage over 160 cm, you must reserve a seat with an oversized baggage area
  • !If you are going west of Hiroshima (toward Hakata), also compare the Sanyo-San'in Area Pass
  • !The start date and number of days cannot be changed after pickup
