Overview
A pass for international visitors offering unlimited rides on JR East lines (including the Shinkansen) and some third-sector railways in the Tohoku, Nagano and Niigata areas. It was launched in March 2026 by merging the former JR EAST PASS (Tohoku area) and (Nagano, Niigata area). It suits itineraries covering a wide area from Tokyo to Aomori, Sendai, Yamagata, Akita, Niigata and Nagano.
- Who can buy
- Holders of a passport issued by a country other than Japan. You must show your original passport when buying or picking up the pass
- Coverage
- All JR East lines (Shinkansen, limited express, express and local trains, BRT), Tokyo Monorail, Aoimori Railway, IGR Iwate Galaxy Railway, Sendai Airport Transit, Sanriku Railway, Hokuetsu Express, Echigo TOKImeki Railway (Naoetsu–Arai), JR-Tobu through limited express trains and some JR buses

- 1Pick up the pass at a ticket machine with a passport reader or a Travel Service Center at a designated station, using your original IC passport
- 2Book reserved seats on the Shinkansen and limited express trains online (from one month ahead), at reserved-seat ticket machines or with station staff
- 3During the validity period, put the pass through the automatic ticket gate to ride

Good to know
- !The Tokaido Shinkansen between Tokyo and Nagoya/Kyoto is not covered
- !You can use only one pass at a time during your stay in Japan
- !A child's age is determined as of the purchase date
- !Children under 6 do not need a pass unless they use a reserved seat
