Hirosaki, Hirosaki Castle, Mt. Iwaki, Hirosaki Park
A former castle town in western Aomori Prefecture, known for Hirosaki Castle and the cherry blossoms of Hirosaki Park. It is also an apple-growing region spreading out at the foot of Mt. Iwaki. Located inland in the Tsugaru region, it gets a lot of snow in winter, with around 87 cm on the ground in February. Summer highs reach around 29°C.
