When to Go
Hoarfrost is a natural phenomenon seen on days when temperature and fog conditions come together, and it cannot always be seen every day
In the 2026–27 season, the Frost Tree Terrace (Cloud Cafe) operates December 1, 2026 – April 5, 2027
Seasons are typical guides. Snow, ice and drift ice depend heavily on each year’s weather.
Highlights
Hoarfrost forms when fog clings to trees at temperatures of about -2 to -10°C. From the terrace you can view the white-coated trees, and at the adjoining Cloud Cafe you can enjoy drinks and sweets inspired by hoarfrost.
