Ginkgo leaves in early November, illuminations in late November. Snow starts to settle
November is when Hokkaido shifts from autumn to winter. In early November, Sapporo's ginkgo trees turn gold, but snowy days increase from mid-November, and by late November the city starts turning white. Sapporo's high is 8.7°C and mornings drop to 1.6°C, so you'll need a winter coat. Illuminations begin in late November, and ski resort openings are just around the corner.
Temperature, precipitation, snow and sunshine are climate normals (1991-2020). Sunset is for November 15.
