From mid- to late November you may also see the first snow together with late-autumn leaves. Timing varies with each year’s temperatures, so check the Daisen Tourism Bureau for the latest information

The leaves begin to change in late October, and by early November the slopes are dyed in a rainbow of colors. From mid- to late November there is a second act, when the white of the first snow overlaps with the deepening autumn leaves. The stone-paved approach, said to be the longest in Japan, also makes for a walk on fallen leaves in late autumn.
