Overview

A 450m-long walkway built inside the girders of the Onaruto Bridge. From 45m above the sea, you can look straight down on the whirlpools of the Naruto Strait. It's a Tokushima Prefecture facility inside Naruto Park and can be visited together with the neighboring Onaruto Bridge Memorial Hall Eddy.

Highlights

Highlights

The biggest highlight is looking straight down at the whirlpools through the glass floor of the observation room at the end of the walkway. Around the spring tides in spring and autumn, whirlpools reaching 20–30m in diameter can appear. The size of the whirlpools changes with the tide, so check the best viewing times on the official tide table before you go.
