An avenue of ginkgo trees running for about 380 m along both sides of Kita 13-jo Street on the Hokkaido University campus. In autumn it becomes a golden tunnel, and many people come to see this signature Sapporo autumn view.
The university restricts vehicles on the avenue around this time each year, in “late October, when the yellow leaves are at their peak”
🍁 These spots are in their typical peak period. Actual colors shift with each year’s temperatures, so check the official foliage updates too.
Peak times are typical guides. The timing shifts with each year’s temperatures.
Ginkgoes planted around 1939 line both sides of the road. At the peak, fallen leaves cover the street, so everything above and below you is yellow.
