Highlights

Highlights

The avenue was created over three years from 1916 (Taisho 5) by transplanting Ezo-yamazakura and other trees from the nearby mountains, and its name comes from the road being exactly 20 ken (about 36 m) wide. The highlight is the view of Ezo-yamazakura stretching in a straight line, and at peak bloom the “Shizunai Cherry Blossom Festival” is held, with seasonal food and limited-time souvenirs for sale.
