A port city about 30 minutes from Tokyo by train, popular for the Minato Mirai night view, Chinatown and the Red Brick Warehouse. Temperatures are about the same as central Tokyo; the sea breeze makes summer a little more comfortable along the waterfront, but the wind feels cold in winter.

Best Time to Visit Yokohama
For roses and harbor walks
In May, the roses at Yamashita Park and Minato-no-Mieru-Oka Park are in full bloom, and the weather is sunny and comfortable.
For night views and Christmas
In December, the clear air makes the Minato Mirai night view even more beautiful, and a Christmas market is held at the Red Brick Warehouse.
